Niagara Falls and Lake ErieStudents will wake at 7 AM to a breakfast of oatmeal or cereal. We will pack up camp and depart the Branches of Niagara Campground at 8 AM, arriving at Niagara Falls at 8:15 AM. From here, students will spend the morning exploring the majesty and grandeur of the Niagara Falls, one of the most iconic waterfalls in the world.
We will start our morning with the Maid of the Mist boat tour at 9:30, which takes you up close and personal with the falls, deep into the basin of the Horseshoe Falls, the largest of Niagara's three waterfalls. Afterwards, we will hike along the hiking path that spans the Falls. At 11:30, we will be going on the Cave of the Winds tour, which takes you directly into the swirling storm that is the base of the Bridal Veil Falls, Niagara's smallest waterfall. The tour includes a visit to a large deck system stationed at the base of the Falls, within reaching distance of the rushing water. We will depart from Niagara Falls at 2 PM after having sandwiches while in the Park. We will cross the Rainbow Bridge into Canada at 2:15 PM, crossing through Customs. We should depart the Rainbow Bridge by 3:30 PM. At 6:15 PM, we will arrive at the Wheatley Provincial Park, seated on a prime location on the northern shore of Lake Erie. Dinner will be served at 7 PM. Each student will get to customize and cook their own Pudgie Pies. Students will have the rest of the night to themselves. |
