Boldt Castle and Southern OntarioAt 8 AM, a breakfast of pancakes and sausage will be served. We will then pack up camp and depart from the 1000 Islands Campground at 9 AM, headed upriver to the town of Clayton. Arriving at 9:30 AM, we will board a tour boat through Clayton Island Tours. Our tour, the Two Nations and Boldt Castle Tour, will depart at 10 AM.
The tour snakes its way down the St. Lawrence River over the course of 3.5 hours, showcasing some of the most famous locations in the 1000 Islands, including the Rock Island Lighthouse, the 1000 Islands International Bridge, and the Million Dollar Summer Homes. The tour will take a pit stop at Heart Island, home to the Boldt Castle, a massive Victorian-style home surrounded by gorgeous landscapes. Students will be able to get off the boat and explore the Castle and its history. Lunch will be served during the tour. Our tour will arrive back to Clayton at approximately 1:30 PM. From here we will depart Clayton, heading west. At 5:45 PM we will arrive at the Branches of Niagara Resort, 5 miles upriver from the Niagara Falls. Tacos will be served at 7 PM. Students will have the rest of night to themselves. |
